Shakespeare's Cinema Influence

From what I have seen Shakespeare seems like the person who wrote the book (and the plays) on romance. It's really hard to tell what influences he may have had on modern films because of how so much has change since his era. But every romance film I would think fused Shakespeare ideas into their movies in some way.

Have you not seen any of the movies Mrs. Gilman gave as examples because Shakespeare did have a lot of influence on modern cinema. For example the movie "Shes the Man" is an example of Shakespeares play "Twelfth Night". I think he did write alot about romance but not all of his plays arn't.

Sean what is this? This is a really terrible blog. You didn't name a movie and you didn't name a relating play. Its not really that hard to see the influence Shakespeare has had, you just have to recognize what you're looking for in a movie. X-men 3, Walle, Men in Black 2 all movies in the modern era that has been influenced by Shakespeare.
